OEMs Can Use Laird’s Bluetooth Selection Tool to quickly Find the Right Bluetooth Module for their specific Application

December 10, 2013 -- Laird, a leading global technology company, announced the release of the Laird Bluetooth Selection Tool. This simple online tool is an excellent resource for engineers to quickly narrow down Laird’s extensive Bluetooth offerings and choose the optimal Bluetooth module solution for their specific project requirements.

2013 brought an overhaul and refresh of Laird’s Bluetooth module portfolio and this significant increase in module options has led to the release of the Bluetooth Selection Tool. In 2013 alone, Laird has launched four new Bluetooth product series to complement its already robust product line. This provides an additional 20 modules and associated development kits, bringing the overall portfolio to more than 50 Classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) options.

The tool will be expanded across 2014 as we consistently, quarter on quarter, provide more features and exciting new products to our Bluetooth module portfolio.”

Laird’s four new product series launched in 2013 included the single-mode BL600 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module, the BTM46x Made For iPod (MFi) module, the BT700 series of Class 1 modules, and the BT800 series of Class 1 USB HCI module and packaged dongle. This complete product portfolio gives OEMs a variety of options for reliable Bluetooth data transfer in all types of mobile applications.
